Orion Telecom will implement and maintain communication systems that guarantee optimal savings through effective management of the full telephony infrastructure. In the event that the guaranteed savings percentage is not met due to Orion inefficiencies, Orion will “top up” the shortfall.
Orion commits to delivering these savings on captured traffic with no risk to the client. It’s our responsibility to optimise the equipment and SIM installations as well as pro-actively manage usage/non-usage to achieve these targets. Dedicated account managers monitor systems and usage on a daily basis to ensure the projected savings are consistenly achieved.
A Managed Services contract covers Orion’s CallSaver cellular and Global Dial international least cost routing services and introduces further cost savings on CallSaver national calls. The contract may include a combination of both CallSaver and Global Dial or only one of these services.

CallSaver Cellular |

Routes cellular calls directly to the GSM network, rather than through the fixed line network. The PABX is programmed to recognize 072, 073, 082, 083 and 084 numbers and automatically diverts these calls through an available Fixed Cellular Terminal (FCT) to any GSM network worldwide.
Orion is a service provider to all the major networks. Under Managed Services, the current installation is automatically converted to “On-Net” traffic flow only to achieve the highest savings possible. |

CallSaver National |

A national call is made to a destination within South Africa, equal to or greater than 50km away from the originator of the call. Generally it will be all calls terminating in area codes other than the area code of origination.
Calls are routed directly to the GSM network, rather than through the fixed line network. |

Global Dial International Fixed Line

Routes voice and fax calls directly to the Global Dial international gateway, rather than through the fixed line operator's network.
This service covers most destinations around the world and the percentage saving is calculated on the prevailing Telkom rate on countries that we capture. Callback technology is used. |

Global Dial Mobile, SADC & Africa |

This option includes additional international destinations, mainly Africa and SADC countries, as well as international mobile terminations, and offers a 20% saving on calls to these countries. | Managed Services offers additional benefits for our clients:
